Heeter Receives HITRUST CSF Certification

We have always taken data security very seriously at Heeter.

With that mission, we are pleased to announce that Heeter has earned HITRUST Certification from the Health Information Trust (HITRUST) Alliance, the widely adopted security and risk management framework.

What is HITRUST?

Created in collaboration with healthcare, technology and information security organizations, HITRUST established a cybersecurity framework to help organizations from all sectors – but especially healthcare – effectively manage data, information risk, and compliance.

HITRUST is the gold standard in data security for all industries.

This achievement places Heeter among an elite group of print and data organizations worldwide that have earned this certification.

What does this certification mean for our clients?

The HITRUST CSF helps organizations that work with sensitive data to become more secure. It combines HIPAA, ISO, NIST, PCI and other internationally and nationally accepted standards and provides clarity and consistency, which reduces the burden of compliance with the varied requirements that apply to organizations.

“HITRUST knows that without a sufficient level of reliability, an assurance report doesn’t provide the requisite level of assurances as required to make important business decisions,” said Vincent Bennekers, Vice President of Quality, HITRUST. “The achievement of a HITRUST CSF Certification provides reliable assurances that Heeter is taking information risk management and compliance seriously.”

Was HITRUST fast and simple to achieve?

Hardly! The process took over a year. Our team was provided a very detailed list that required frequent audits over many months.

We are grateful to Kevin Driscoll and Sydney Chromack from our IT Team for succeeding in this rigorous process.
