Sales Executive

Qualifications:

Bindery Operator

JOB PURPOSE and FUNCTION:  

The Bindery Operator finishes high-quality products by operating equipment such as saddle stitchers, folders, cutters, die cutters, and gluers.  Sets up and operates equipment efficiently to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality standards. Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework. Responsible for equipment maintenance and maintaining a clean work area.  Troubleshoots and corrects problems in a timely manner.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

  • Examines job ticket and instructions to determine run sequence and schedule.
  • Set up job to minimize downtime and waste, ensure each run meets or exceeds production objectives.
  • Prepares and checks machines for proper set up before a run begins and during runs.
  • While running jobs, quality inspect by making 100 sheet pulls. Inspect each one for any defects or imperfections.
  • Accurately documents production counts and material consumption accurately while limiting waste of material and supplies in PACE in a timely manner
  • Maintains quality and production standards
  • Effectively communicates the status of jobs and machines at shift-change to ensure smooth transition
  • Monitors and notifies manager of inventory and supply needs on a timely basis
  • Troubleshoots and corrects mechanical and/or printing problems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Operator to have a complete understanding of processes / Post Press Die cutting operations.
  • Possesses Knowledge of Die Creation, Perforating, Matrix Scoring
  • Mechanical Background Inclination. Repairs
  • Have Knowledge of Incremental Measurements SAE and Metric
  • Capable of Conversion Fractural measurements to Decimal
  • Understand how each layout cuts as needed for packing, padding, folding, and stitching

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent

 

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience running and managing bindery machines such as die cutter, gluer, folder, stitchers required, prefer at least 2 years demonstrated success

Operations Manager

Job Purpose and Function:   

The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of developing and running an efficient and quality focused print, bindery, fulfillment, technology and mailing operation. The Operations Manager will lead these production departments to meet strategic initiatives and financial goals by providing training, mentoring and supervision to all production departments. The Operations Manager personally leads and promotes process improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of change, evolution and continuous improvement. This individual must also have the drive for the dynamic pursuit of operational excellence.

 

Specific Duties

  • Contribute to profitability with an understanding of the relationship between business, production, operations, and technology strategy Creates programs and solutions that benefits business profitability and enhances our client relationships.
  • Assist Sales onsite at clients and represents the Company’s Operational and Technology capabilities while maintaining a professional appearance and providing for a positive, innovative company image.
  • Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.
  • Works closely with Senior Leadership team to develop organizational strategic plan and manage to both short-term and long-term goals. Responsible for studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of all Production Departments: Digital Print, Specialty Finishing, Fulfillment, Procurement and Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Digital Print and Bindery, IT, PressRoom, Electronic Pre-press, Bindery, and Mailing.
  • Oversee operations budget for each department.

VDP & Design Specialist

 

Job Description:   

VDP & Design Specialist job is responsible for setting up variable and program jobs to ensure high-quality campaigns by composing jobs on time and to specification defined in the job ticket.  In addition, the position takes the lead in all design and UI work undertaken by Heeter’s development teams.

 

Specific Duties:   

  • Follows the schedule set by the business and all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO security requirements
  • Design user interfaces for both internal and external use.
  • Lead in the development and production of Wide Format work
  • Using various composition systems, compose final printed mail piece for VDP work
  • Prepare jobs for production.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and account management to ensure job is prepared to productions requirements
  • Perform QC checks on own and others work to ensure accuracy
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

 

Knowledge and Skills:   

  • Detailed knowledge of Indesign and other Adobe products
  • Good design instincts and is able to demonstrate intuitive user interfaces
  • Knowledge of USPS regulations as it pertains to mail piece design
  • Experienced in the use of GMC Inspire Designer or other composition tools
  • Knowledge of various printing technologies such as Xerox, HP and OCE
  • Effective time management, organization, attention to detail, oral and written communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, decision making and self-motivation

Required Experience:   

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working within In-design in a design environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project at the same time
  • Professional and able to effectively interface with external clients and internal team

Production Coordinator

Job Description:   

Primary liaison for the operation side of the client relationship for fulfillment activities including: escalation, oversight of client projects and implementations, execution of account plan activities and building and maintaining relationships with client contacts.

 

Specific Duties:   

  • Serves as primary point of contact for internal and external clients to resolve outstanding fulfillment issues, comply with customer requests and respond to client inquiries
  • Coordinates data collection from the clients to properly identify and compile accurate information detailing customer specifications and communicate the data to the production departments.  Will follow up by maintaining contact with the customer to assure production meets expectations.
  • Inspects proofs and coordinates delivery and receipt to and from the customer using couriers or the Account Executive.  Signs off and Okays proofs when necessary to assist the Account Executive and/or client.
  • Monitors fulfillment processes to see that the customer’s order is being produced on schedule and according to specifications.  Communicates any concerns and changes and seeks solutions to problems with Department Managers, the Account Executives, and customers.
  • Handles various components of monthly billing cycle
  • Drive and champion new technologies, collaborations, and improved processes to define, leverage and implement best standard work practices
  • Monitors inventory levels and expiration dates of products (where applicable)
  • Performs back up for other internal roles and other related duties as necessary

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work through customer needs and production issues through the use of analytical thinking, problem solving and expectations management. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate professional in writing and phone.
  • Knowledge of the overall printing production process desired.
  • Ability to work and communicate with vendors, co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Effective computer skills utilizing Microsoft office (Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret written material such as data entry forms, layouts, job specifications, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, and modify plans as requirements dictates.

 

Minimum Education: 

  • An Associate Degree in Business (Graphic Arts or Printing would be an asset) or the equivalent of experience

Minimum Experience: 

  • Prefer 2 years previous experience in customer service related work environment, preferably in printing or a production environment.
