Heeter Becomes First Commercial Printer to Offer Ricoh VC60000 Inkjet Web

In 2015, Heeter was looking for a press that could dramatically increase the production of its digital work while still maintaining the quality its customers demanded.

Heeter worked with its partner Ricoh to evaluate the firm’s new VC60000 Inkjet Web Press.  The video below lays out how Heeter went about the VC60000 evaluation and the results of its implementation.

When it pulled the trigger on the installation in November, 2015, Heeter was the first commercial printer in the United States to operate the VC60000.

Feedback from customers has been great.

“At first we were skeptical that an inkjet web printer could present our product images in an acceptable way. But after seeing the high quality results, Giant Eagle became a fan and we are expanding its use.”Jody Neiswonger, Direct Mail Specialist, Giant Eagle

“The combination of speed and quality of the Ricoh 60000 is what convinced me to move my project to the inkjet web process. I’m very happy with the results. The ability to do full color with full variability is truly a game changer for us. We are looking for unique ways to communicate with our customers, the new capabilities that Heeter offers allows us to do that quickly and cost-effectively!”Brian Hughes, Senior Graphic Designer, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
