Traditionally the firm supported its sales efforts through the distribution of collateral and other marketing materials that were produced by various departments. GBU also distributes a quarterly publication to consumers called “The Reporter.”
Challenges
Print collateral and promotional materials were stocked in-house for distribution to sales reps. GBU employees needed to pick and ship sales materials daily. Jennifer Stockdale, Director of Marketing and Community Development, commented “we were in the mail business.”
Also, the company recognized its branding was uneven. A decentralized marketing effort across many departments led to inconsistencies in the company’s branding including uneven paper quality, colors and messaging.
Also, the current printer of “The Reporter” regularly missed deadlines.
Solution
GBU looked to consolidate marketing functions in a new Marketing department led by Jennifer Stockdale. GBU sought a single printer to ensure brand consistency. It also needed a partner who could both support its large-run publication but also manage the print, distribution and reporting of its collateral and print items.
Heeter launched an online marketing portal where the GBU sales team can easily order its needed materials which are stored and expeditiously shipped by Heeter to the sales team.

Results
Over 1,800 packages are shipped by Heeter to the GBU sales team in a year. These mailings were previously done by GBU employees in their offices. Jennifer comments “our team can now focus on their marketing jobs as opposed to shipping packages. This outsourcing is particularly valuable with increased remote work.”
